A-S2 Published (almost)
Updated: Oct 26, 2020
Launch day for the new novella "A-S2: A CLOCKMAKER'S JOURNEY" is Friday, October 16. To meet Kindle Publishing's 72 hour production requisite, this morning I hit the PUBLISH button and sent the paperback version into production.
The Kindle or digital version has been set for Pre-Order since July. And a new draft uploaded almost each week. That's a lot of revisions.
Yesterday (Monday) while doing a final, final glance at the manuscript, I found a possible historical error. As the book is mostly set in the 17th and 18th centuries, the historical fiction landscape is fraught with many frond-covered pits along the journey. So, yesterday I re-read a line describing Benjamin Franklin (yes, he is a character in "A-S2") where I had another character describe him to Clarence as "First Secretary of State for the United States of America." Something told me to check on ol' Ben's CV and sure enough: he did not hold that position, as I thought. He held the equivalent but it was not called "Secretary of State" and it was prior to the formation of the official U.S. government.
That necessitated one final revision; a better line, I might add: "Founder of the United States of America and a co-author to the Declaration of Independence."
So, now everything is in motion. The paperback price is set for $8 while the digital version at Amazon and other online booksellers is priced at $3.00.
